Nomination Materials

The Foundation for Healthy Communities is pleased to announce that nominations are being accepted for the 2021 Clint Jones Nursing Award. This annual award recognizes a registered nurse, new to the profession of nursing, who exemplifies the practice of high quality nursing care and demonstrates an exceptional commitment to the nursing profession.

The Clint Jones Nursing Award was developed in honor of Clint Jones, former director of the NH Nursing Workforce Partnership, a prior initiative of the Foundation. Clint worked with extraordinary enthusiasm and commitment to encourage people to pursue a nursing career through the Nursing Workforce Partnership.

Selection criteria include a demonstration of excellence and enthusiasm in the delivery of patient care; communication with patients, their families and healthcare colleagues; commitment to nursing as a career; and inspiration to other nurses and healthcare professionals as a role model. In particular, the award is designed for an RN who has been in practice at least one year but no more than six years.

The deadline for nominations is Friday, July 2, 2021.  Following the selection of the winner, the person who submitted the nomination will be contacted regarding the Committee’s decision.  The Foundation will work with the recipient’s nominator to schedule a celebration at their hospital.  In addition, the recipient will be recognized at the NHHA & FHC Annual Meeting, October 17-19, 2021.
